Great value all-round multimeter.
Pros: Exceptional value , Great range of features , Well protected
Cons: None really, a bit chunky but it isn't a pocket multimeter.
I'd been looking for a decent, reasonably-priced multimeter for a while, since I kept needing one for circuit testing, battery checks etc. I had struggled to decide which to buy due to the baffling range from very cheap imports which would cover the basics through to some very expensive high-tech units with tons of features I'd probably never use (or understand). I finally found myself needing one with a thermocouple probe to check temperature output on my heatgun which led me to looking at quite a few much more expensive units until I found this one. Quite simply it covers just about everything an average user is likely to need. I definitely wanted to have audible continuity testing to save checking the screen while using the probes to test circuits. The thermocouple has good accuracy and a very good range, the testing ranges for voltage, current and resistance are all fine and it also tests diodes and transistors. A good sized screen makes it easy to see the readings and it has data hold funtion too. The outside housing is a good protective feature and has a useful built-in stand and its made by Sealey so you know its decent quality. With fused protection to boot I couldn't find another branded multimeter with all these features for anywhere near the price and I had a good look too! If you wanted something specialised or with more extreme ranges this might not cover it, but for general everyday household electrical and basic automotive use it has all you'll need.
