  • The Crown Barley Twist Gouge is made from M2 High Speed Steel (Rockwell 62/64) and is fitted with a fine Beech handle (Rosewood handle available upon request) and a heavy duty brass ferrule.
  • This type of steel means it will retain its edge for up to six times longer than that of carbon steel tools.
  • This tool can be used when the lathe is switched off or with a variable speed lathe at a very low setting
  • This tool provides you with the ability to create the perfect "twist" shape to your work
